One of the most influential groups in hip-hop history takes over the Darien Lake Amphitheater tonight as Wu-Tang Clankicks off the latest North American leg of Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber Tour.
More than three decades after Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) changed hip-hop forever, the Clan is bringing its legendary catalog back to Western New York for a night built around the music that helped define an era.
RZA. GZA. Method Man. Ghostface Killah. Raekwon. Inspectah Deck. U-God. Masta Killa.
Few groups in music history have assembled a roster with that much individual personality while still creating something even bigger collectively.
Expect Darien Lake to turn into the 36 Chambers tonight as classics like “C.R.E.A.M.,” “Protect Ya Neck,” “Bring Da Ruckus” and “Triumph” collide with tracks from the members’ legendary solo catalogs.
And somehow, the bill gets even more stacked.
Joining Wu-Tang tonight is Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, bringing another cornerstone of ’90s hip-hop to the Darien Lake stage. From their unmistakable rapid-fire harmonies to songs like “Tha Crossroads,” “1st of tha Month” and “Thuggish Ruggish Bone,” Bone Thugs makes this more than a farewell-tour stop — it’s a celebration of an entire generation of hip-hop.
