Stolen Gin
Stolen Gin kicked off the night, with their signature blend of Funk, Rock and Indie to get the crowd moving. It was a wonderful evening at the Art Park’s outdoor amphitheatre, with the weather cooperating and the show starting on time without a hitch.
The talented musicians of Stolen Gin tore up the stage with a wide-ranging, yet concise set, which highlighted their ability as musicians. Their unique blend of Saxophone, guitar and keyboard blasted through the amphitheatre’s impressive sound system as the crowd got ready for the night’s main show.
Dispatch
As the sun began to set over WNY, Dispatch tuned up and delivered a superb performance in their signature eccentric, yet entirely badass style. The American band took the stage by storm, led by frontman Brad Corrigan, showcasing their blend of rock/indie/roots and other genres to the packed stadium. By this time the crowd had fully formed with several thousand fans cheering the group on.
Corrigan led Dispatch through a wide variety of music from their extensive discography, playing popular songs such as The General and Two Coins off from their iconic album Bang Bang as well as newer music from their 2021 album Break Our Fall. Their setlist highlighted the diversity in their catalogue, as well as their range in musical abilities on stage, with the musicians often swapping instruments and band positions to accommodate this variety.
As fellow reviewer Jason Herman puts it “A performance by Dispatch is nothing short of an energetic and unforgettable journey for the audience…” This energetic atmosphere sticks with the audience for days, as the afterglow of a great rock concert always should.
If you missed out, don’t worry though. Art Park has plenty more incredible shows to offer this summer!
