A new attraction is set to rise above the skies of Niagara this summer!
The first flight of the Live! On Air Fallsview Balloon Ride will take occur in June, and the Niagara Falls, N.Y., attraction is scheduled to open for group bookings this summer.
Billed as world’s largest tethered helium balloon, the ride will take people more than 150 metres into the sky for unique panoramic views of the falls.
The attraction can accommodate 180 people per hour and will offer both daytime and evening rides.
“The balloon is the largest helium balloon in the world, filled with 210,000 cubic-feet of helium,” said Jake Ventresca, assistant director of events and entertainment at Live! Incorporated, a new Canadian/U.S. entertainment company that will operate the attraction from a former helicopter landing base on Main Street near the Rainbow Bridge.
