On Friday May 5th, the iconic Billy Idol made his triumphant return to Niagara Falls at the Fallsview Casino in Ontario Canada. The night kicked off with an opening set by Kelsey Karter & The Heroines, who faced unexpected challenges with two band members being denied entry into Canada. Despite this, Kelsey Karter & The Heroines managed to impress with their impressive vocals and dynamic stage presence, setting the stage for the main event.
Billy Idol and his band did not disappoint, delivering a fantastic setlist that included classic hits and fan favorites, starting with “Dancing With Myself” and ending on a high note with “Hot in the City” and “White Wedding”. Steve Stevens’ guitar solo was an absolute showstopper, playing Led Zeppelin’s “Over the Hills and Far Away” and “Stairway to Heaven” to the delight of the audience.
The setlist also featured lesser-known tracks like “Running From the Ghost” and “One Hundred Punks,” showcasing the depth and range of Billy Idol’s music. The Blue Highway/Top Gun Anthem medley was a particularly nice tribute to the late composer Harold Faltermeyer.
Overall, the Billy Idol concert was an unforgettable experience that proved that the rock legend still knows how to put on an explosive show after all these years. The celebration of Steve Stevens’ birthday made the night all the more special, and we highly recommend seeing Billy Idol live if you ever get the chance.
