“THE MUSIC IS ART FESTIVAL, BUFFALO’S LARGEST ONE DAY EXHIBITION OF OUR CREATIVE COMMUNITY, will be celebrating its 20th Annual event on September 10th from 11am – 12 midnight on the grounds of Buffalo Riverworks, Buffalo RiverFest Park, and the Michigan/Ganson Grain Elevators.

Since its conception, the event has been and continues to be free of charge to the community. This year will once again present over 20 stages highlighting live music of all kinds, performance art, kids performances and activities, dancers, DJs, live artists, exhibiting artists, video installations, skaters, craftsmen, glass blowers, AR experiences, The 716 Sideshow, and so much more – all brought to you by a host of talented and forward thinkers. 

For over two decades, the 501c3 not-for-profit organization Music is Art has promoted and advocated for music and the arts in our Buffalo and Western New York communities. Founded by Robby Takac of Buffalo’s multi-platinum band Goo Goo Dolls, and run by a board of directors and numerous all-volunteer committees, MiA focuses on providing mentoring, programming, and a sense of togetherness in the local creative community.
