Formed in 2017 from various Western New York bands the result was one unique and unheard
of sound: Tokyo Monsters. The Monsters are cousins Chris and Joe Baldwin, Nate Ronca, and
Steven Rybarczyk. Together they have played countless WNY venues, and have had the honor
of sharing the stage with other fantastic talent, including Brent Walsh (I the Mighty), Kurt Travis
(Dance Gavin Dance), Year of the Locust, David Ellefson (Megadeath), Thomas Erak (The Fall
Of Troy) and soon to be added to the list Theory of a Deadman!
Their first EP “The Bitter Suite” (2018) showcases their songwriting talent, as well as a one-of-a-
kind sound with songs such as “Battle for the Waterfall Pt. 2,” and “The Daredevil of Marywood.”
In late 2018 they went back into the studio working on captivating their sound and “Dangerous”
was finally released, as the band’s second EP. Featuring title song “Dangerous” and a nod to
J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings “Elevenses” their second EP really showcased the band’s
ability to experiment while producing wonderful results.
Looking to the future the boys plan on heading back into the studio for a third time late this year,
with a new direction in mind, new goals to achieve, and plans to take the stage at a venue
nearest you!
